About
My name is Mariya and I am a fashion designer, educator, and the creator of Style Cosmology—a multidisciplinary practice exploring the relationship between style, energy, and identity.
My work lives at the intersection of fashion, astrology, and embodied expression. I approach clothing not just as material, but as language—something that communicates who we are, how we feel, and how we are perceived. Through Style Cosmology, I help people understand and refine that language by aligning their aesthetic choices with their unique aura, their natal chart, and their lived experience.
My background in fashion design and merchandising informs a foundation in construction, silhouette, and visual storytelling, while my work as an educator has shaped my ability to translate complex ideas into accessible, meaningful frameworks. I have developed and led a high school fashion design program, writing curriculum and guiding students through both technical skill-building and creative exploration.
In my personal practice, I create textile works and wearable art pieces that function as both adornment and ritual object—often incorporating elements of memory, symbolism, and coded histories. My quilts and garments explore themes of navigation, lineage, and self-expression, positioning cloth as both archive and instrument.
Style Cosmology emerged from a desire to move beyond trend-based styling and into something more intentional—something that honors the unseen forces that shape how we present ourselves and how we are received.
Through readings, wearable art, and educational tools, I invite others into a more conscious relationship with style—one rooted in clarity, alignment, and self-recognition.
