Traveling to My Venus Line: Learning How to Receive

Last month I had the pleasure of traveling to my Venus Ascendant (AC) line, which runs directly through Los Angeles, California. Over the past few years I have been intentionally cultivating a relationship with Venus and the many themes surrounding this planetary energy—not simply as an astrological placement, but as a way of moving through the world.

Style Cosmology itself is a Libra brand, ruled by Venus. I wasn't traveling simply for a vacation; I was there to nourish the brand, deepen my understanding of its purpose, and experience firsthand what it feels like to live inside Venusian energy.

When visiting a Venus Ascendant (AC) line, many people find themselves becoming more receptive to beauty, affection, creativity, and meaningful connection. Venus governs love, aesthetics, harmony, pleasure, and our capacity to receive. Under this line, life often invites us to soften rather than strive. You may feel inspired to refresh your wardrobe, visit museums and botanical gardens, indulge in delicious meals, or simply surround yourself with beauty in all its forms. Relationships can feel warmer, conversations flow more naturally, and you may notice yourself feeling more comfortable expressing your authentic personality.

For some, a Venus line becomes the backdrop for romantic relationships, creative collaborations, or the rekindling of long-forgotten passions. Perhaps one of its greatest gifts is not simply attracting love from others, but remembering that you are worthy of receiving it. It gently asks: What becomes possible when you stop withholding beauty, joy, and care from yourself?

The very first thing I noticed after arriving in Los Angeles was how genuinely kind people were—even in the smallest interactions. At first, I was suspicious. My past experiences had taught me that overly friendly people often came with hidden agendas or ulterior motives.

Then I caught myself. I realized this wasn't necessarily intuition speaking—it was a trauma response. I smiled and quietly reminded myself, "You're on your Venus line now, girl." Instead of bracing for disappointment, I chose to stay open.

My trip began with a longtime friend greeting me at the airport with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. It felt like Venus herself was welcoming me. Over the following days I wandered through Silver Lake, visited museums and sculpture gardens, spent hours exploring the garment district, and enjoyed some of the best meals I've had in years. Beauty seemed to meet me everywhere I looked.

I actually have one Venus Drift Wanderer Purse available here.

But perhaps the most unexpected lesson of the trip wasn't beauty—it was receiving. Everywhere I turned, someone seemed eager to offer kindness. While shopping for fabric in Downtown Los Angeles, several shop owners became unexpectedly generous after learning I was purchasing materials for my high school fashion students. They offered discounts, gifted me extra fabric, and treated me with a level of warmth I wasn't accustomed to receiving. For years I believed I had to earn care through overworking, proving myself, or anticipating everyone else's needs first. This trip quietly challenged that belief. I wasn't receiving because I had become someone different. I was receiving because I finally allowed myself to.

Looking back, I don't think my Venus line magically changed the people around me. Rather, it softened something within me. I became more willing to notice generosity, to accept help without guilt, and to believe that beauty, kindness, and abundance could belong to me too.

That may be the greatest gift Venus has to offer. She reminds us that we've always been worthy of receiving. If you would like to start cultivating a relationship with Venus and would like to explore what cities fall on your Venus line book a Style Cosmology reading with me.

Sending love,

Mariya
